“Dare to Make a Difference”
As Membership Chairman of your Grange, you hold one of the most important positions in your Grange. Granges can only be successful with new members and fresh idea. It is your responsibility to challenge your members to each get one new member. That starts with asking someone to join the Grange! We need to work hard to make our local Grange an organization we are proud to ask someone to join. This means a hall we are proud of; a congenial group of people to work with. This may mean taking a hard look our selves, to make sure we are not the problem in our group. As Membership Chairman, you should encourage inactive members to attend meetings and share their ideas and skills. We must never say, "We've never done that before". Instead say "Let's give it a try".
