MISSION OF VERMONT STATE GRANGE AG/ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE

"To promote awareness of the impact agriculture has on our state. We will accomplish this through programs that will provide education, relating to environmental concerns, a safe and wholesome food supply for all, and the impact agriculture has on our daily lives."

 

POMONA AGRICULTURE/ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM

2007 – 2008

 

THEME "GRANGE BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY

BY SUPPORTING AGRICULTURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT"

  • Direct the Pomona activities relating to Agriculture and Environment, to accomplish the Pomona Mission Statement.
  • Cooperate and work with Pomona Legislative Committee to promote Grange Policy.
  • Take an active leadership role in developing resolutions for State Grange Policy (especially those relating to agriculture and environment).
  • Promote participation in exhibiting at State Grange Fall Festival. (See seal requirements)
  • Serve on State Grange Ag/Environment Committee and act as the communication link between State and Community Granges. Visit each Community Granges in Pomona District.
  • Coordinate and promote district Ag activities.

                                           

SEAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • Attendance at State Committee meetings
  • Have at least one Ag/Environmental Resolution from your Pomona
  • Report to State Director by July 15, 2008 . Report to include how you completed the above 6 program components and other activities of your committee.
